Wallace Nozile, M.D.

Dr. Wallace R. Nozile joined Avail Dermatology as a Board Certified Dermatologist in 2020. He graduated cum laude from The University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. After earning a master’s degree in interdisciplinary medical sciences at The University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, he returned to his alma mater to obtain his medical degree from The University of Florida College of Medicine. During medical school, Dr. Nozile earned the position of trip leader for the international medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic for two consecutive years and attended as a volunteer a third year as a part of the school’s Global Health Outreach Program. He completed a one-year internship at Louisiana State University Health in New Orleans, before completing a three-year dermatology residency at The University of Florida College of Medicine’s Department of Dermatology in Gainesville.

While at the University of Florida, Dr. Nozile published several articles in scholarly journals and has presented at national and regional conferences, such as the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the Florida Society for Dermatologic Surgery (FSDS) annual meetings. During residency, Dr. Nozile spent extensive time training at the Veteran’s Medical Center, in addition to the University Hospital. During this time, he gained extensive surgical experience, including Mohs Micrographic Surgery, in the Dermatological Surgical Units of both departments. Prior to joining Avail Dermatology, Dr. Nozile practiced General Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery in Gainesville, Florida. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Nozile lives in Stockbridge with his wife and is enjoying becoming acquainted with his new surroundings and the state of Georgia. In his spare time, he also enjoys fitness, reading, cooking, spending time with family, and hiking.
